Lamiez Holworthy Biography
Based in South Africa, Lamiez Holworthy is a DJ, television personality, radio host, record producer, business owner, and philanthropist. Her birthday is June 12, 1992. She gained the most notoriety as the host of the music show Live AMP on SABC 1.
Early life and education
On June 12, 1992, Lamiez Holworthy was born in Eersterust, however she spent the majority of her early years there. She began her studies at Andrew Anthony Primary School, continued at Sunnyside Primary School, and then completed it at Kwaggasrand Primary. [4] Additionally, she attended Pro Arte Alphen Park for years 8 and 9. She graduated from Laudium Secondary School in 2009, and in 2012, she enrolled in the Boston Media House to pursue a media studies degree.
Career
In addition to learning and honing her mixing techniques, Lamiez started her career as an underground DJ in 2010. She started her career while still a high school student by taking the role of a guest host on the Soweto TV programme KMTV. Later on, she was named the host of the Tshwane TV lifestyle programme Living The Dream, which featured South Africa. She has revealed that she came perilously close to quitting the entertainment business following an incident that happened during her audition and involved her car being destroyed and her DJ equipment being stolen. Before being given her most prominent part on SABC 1’s Live Amp, she had to wait seven years.
She works full-time as the official DJ for Sun City Resort and has been the official DJ for Miss South Africa for the past two years.
She joined South African DJ and presenter Lulo Cafe as co-hosts of the dance programme Penthouse Session on Metro FM in April 2021.
In July 2021, during the 27th South African Music Awards, she performed in that capacity.

She was up for the Best Amapiano Female DJ Act category at the South African Amapiano Awards later that year.
Philanthropy
As her own own private charitable organisation, she founded the Lamiez Holworthy Foundation. The charity provides financial assistance to homes and shelters for orphans as well as mistreated and
neglected HIV-positive youngsters. Additionally, the organisation works to give children from less privileged families access to educational resources, funding, and sponsors.
She received recognition for her philanthropic work at the South African Heroines Awards in October 2021 as a result of it.
Personal life
She is Khuli Chana’s wife and the stepmother of his daughter, who he had before they were married. Khuli is a South African rapper.
